I am a firm believer in developing a strategic plan before tactical execution. I don’t get distracted by new, trendy communication channels, but rather I focus on the objectives, plan how we can achieve those goals and identify tactical efforts that will get us there.
An Ohio University Bobcat for life, I graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism in May 2013. Since then, I have spent my professional career gaining over eight years of experience in in-house, startup and agency environments. I am a versatile marketing and communications professional with hands-on experience leading social media strategy and execution; developing website content and SEO; planning internal and external communications strategy; building brands and implementing brand standards; and crafting traditional and digital communications, including news releases, email campaigns, marketing materials and more.
I am a team player and have enjoyed collaborating with other writers, graphic designers and executives in all positions I’ve held. During my time at Encova Insurance (May 2018 - current), I also had the opportunity to work on an integrated team alongside individuals in information technology and customer experience to design, build and launch Encova’s new public website, encova.com.
Professionally, I'm most confident in the insurance industry, with over five years of experience in marketing and communications in this field. Personally, I enjoy spending time outdoors and have hiked in Arizona (including the Grand Canyon), Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah and West Virginia.
